WTB Jt Proteus lower "all hard plastic" frame.

I'm looking to buy some of the Jt proteus all hard plastic lower frames with the ears intact as well. It doesn't matter if they have the jewels or not but a small plus if so. Looking around and the asking price for them seems to be around 55$ ish maxed out. Looking for the black ones but if it's the clear ones its ok if they are yellow stained as I want to dye them a few different colors anyways. Looking for around 3 of them in total. All must be useable without any extremely bad scratches or major damage. I hope to wear them again as to me they were and still are the coolest looking of all the jt masks. The flex 8 has nothing on them.

I just saw a post on reddit about someone looking at the value of one. Maybe you can get them to sell

I didn't know that they ever produced a full plastic model (vice the standard with the lower rubber). When the originals were released in 2001, they were only rubber and plastic.

There was a full clear that was all plastic, then there is a clear with black rubber. I believe all the chameleons had rubber on the bottom. Today the clear on clear often look yellow ish due to UV damage.

Another good place to check is the JT Proflex Facebook pages. Very often people will take the thin frames off of proteus bottoms and sell the proteus botttoms for dirt cheap, if they can even find a buyer. There’s not a ton of demand so a few people are sitting on a bunch of them.

autococker04 Yeah, ive been to most of them scanning around. by the end of this I'm sure ill be able to get a decent number on how many people we could see buying a re-release of the proteus itself. To me, its the coolest looking Jt lower/ears in the game and I know they didn't too to well during the early 2000s but then again everyone wasn't rocking Jt like they are today. Doing a bunch colors and a few design changes are cool and all but they still give off the same plain jane vibe. And with those insane prices something a bit cheaper would be nice to see since all you need is a strap and lens frame.

I like how they axed that for the flex 8 as its harder to breathe in (the original ones are horrible and the newer release is a bit better but not as good as the proteus and the sides push on your head like crazy and don't cover the whole ear. I have a few proteus on the way (hopefully not scammed) and plan on doing a jt breathing test vid as I have done with some other masks. I'm still looking for more lowers as one is the black and one is clear but stained and want to have a dyed red and one a brown. paintball retro really needs to do a colab as he did get the red, tan, clear, and gray flex 8s so why not the proteus. He just needs the hard ones as the flexy proteus always end up folding in over time. My vote is for the all black, an all red, and an all brown (olive green would be ok but that is just boring). Maybe the chameleon but not to sure how much they would be to produce. Also yellow would be out as its the fill color for most tourneys.

I snagged this one a year or so ago just because it still had the stickers chin strap and is mint. I don’t really want to sell it but thought you might appreciate the build.

I would trade the clear bottoms for a good condition purple chameleon ones.

I do like the build. that clear looks to be in good shape as well. I'm trying to see if i have the sticker sheet of jewels I've had since like 05. The Field/proshop owner I was managing for was just throwing stuff out and got my hands on all kinds of random stuff and a few sheets of the proteus jewels were in the lot. can't wait to dye the clear ones I got. Hopefully not scammed but I'm having a hard time picking between red or brown.

Good news everyone. I managed to find two different ones. The smaller black all hard one and a clear framed one that is sort of rubber ish like. Its not as flexy as and the black bottom style chameleon ones and it larger than the all black hard ones. Is that a normal thing because if so I just need another all clear framed "hard" one. Thats why we be bumpin to the top. Also have a few items for trade as well for that one. Don't mind if the frame is a bit yellow but has to be in decent shape to last the rest of my days. Intend on dying it anyways.
