WTB Carter Valve body

In 2022 I purchased a Carter Slider with an in grip lever changer. I can’t remember from who I looked back in my messages to try and figure it out.

Ecapnation owned it at one point and sold it to who I believe I got it from. When I purchased it, it had a valve that I did not buy at the time because I was planning on putting it on my Duck.

What I’m searching for is that valve body. It likely looks like a 007 valve body but longer like a CCI about the same diameter. I can’t remember who I got this from but I’m looking for the valve body.

I been sitting on this thing for a while and I really want to build something cool with it. The valve body I think would save me a lot of headache since it’s already got the dimensions I need for the piercing pin location.

If not I might have to 3D scan my Duck valve and have one made.

❤️ I think that one you have is smaller in diameter than a phantom / Carter valve might not matter as long as it lines up. I will bring the frame to check. I don’t mind modifying the rail if I have to. The original valve would probably bolt on maybe your will to 🤞🏻

The valve body that was on that was stainless not sure if it was OEM nelson

Was later than 2002.... I have photos of it in my Google drives so at least 2010 I had it

You’re right it was 2022 typo I will edit. Yes it was stainless like the one on my Duck. I could pull my Duck Apart but it’s tricky getting it all back together just right for the drop out frame to function properly. I was hopeful the person I got this from would see my post. Or someone might have one laying around.

Iirc it was mostly nelson compatible as I briefly used it with a Spartan upper.

I never built it out though due to shifting play styles and fields changing locally from woods to more hybrid woods/speed ball

I want to build something with it. A phantom body don’t fit on it and line up. I thought about maybe trying to get a Flyweight’s valve body for the Phrame. I could definitely make it work. I would just machine the angle I need for piercing pin into his sealing surface and use a Phantom piercing pin. I would need to drill the top plate for phantom valve spec and mount the valve from the back side. I could make it fit clean most of the machining is already done and it’s already setup for phantom internals. Lighter to being aluminum. Volume is good should mount up to a nice to a ASP detent body for good performance. Making the Phantom body and internals work should not be to hard. I could move the Threaded insert back to Match the frame. Honestly, I could probably do the valve too.

A 007 valve already has a good piercing pin angle but it’s much shorter than the rail and heavier. Also dose not line up with any of the existing holes so I’m not saving much there I think Nate’s valve body would be my best bet if I can’t find the one that goes with it.

One thing I do have to check is if the phantom internals will have the throw they need to fully come forward because the frame will sit back compared to a Phantom. And the sear Channel may be too short to do so.

I could take 1/2” +/- off the back of a Phantom body to make it bolt up but I’m not sure how it would react to changing the throw of everything and it would likely need custom length springs.

Or maybe add some clearance in front on the sear channel on the frames mounting plate. I could modify the sear because the trigger sear would be super simple to make longer if need be as well.

Honestly if I had the original valve it would make getting this thing going a hell of a lot easier. I’m kicking myself for not getting it.

I really want to build something cool with it. But I want to do it right it’s too cool a piece to hack up just for the sake of it. Operationally it’s a bit clunky the way the 12g has to be just right to drop in and out but it’s a really clean look.

I want to build something super functional and unique.

If you change your mind ,let me know.... I promise not to hack it up, only reanno it to match my Duck. It wouldn't take much to put it on there with my current setup as it is
