    Gloss Anodizer Recommendation?

Howdy y'all, I am looking to have my beautiful Chris Cole FreeFlow Autococker anodized in what Field One Calls "Polished Shadow" (Gloss Gunmetal Kind of).
Is there a particular anodizing company that the members here would suggest using? The autococker is currently dust gold. I'm not sure if that would be an issue going to gloss as I'm not very familiar with anodizing.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Pictures are of the FreeFlow and a F1 Force with the color I'm looking for.

Dust to polish is extra work. I would say FX or Caustic do the best polished finishes.

I've heard is requires more work when you go from dust to gloss. Caustic was the first shop that came to mind. FX does amazing work as well.

Caustic is the best for it hands down. They did my Pyro and LV1.6 and the finish on both of those guns is unreal, like glass. After that I'd go with Arc.

One thing to keep in mind is make sure you send everything in that you might want, especially the barrel you plan on using. Black is one of the hardest colors to match afterwards so you want to make sure you do it all in one shot.

Just out of curiosity when you are going from powder to gloss how much of the work can you do? Is it as simple as polishing it with a dremel or should all of the work be left to a pro?

Best to leave it to the professionals. It can be done but you’re going to need more then a dremel. You can actually make more work if you don’t know what you are doing. Better have that kung fu gorilla grip to.

I've done some of my own anodizing, and it's very hard to get glossy parts, even when I start with highly polished parts, after the electrical anodizing process they get much duller. I'd really like to know how the pros can get such a glossy finish, I'm guessing less current but then the parts dont take dye as well

What’s everyone’s opinion of Blizzard? I’ve got a project in mind and they’ve been the most responsive.

Blizzard did a great job on my urban camo Scout build. I have see his polish jobs and they are well done. Very reasonably priced too.

That's hot. Or wait... urban camo... it's... cold?

I used Caustic for a dust/gloss match job a couple years ago and frankly I was kinda let down, especially given the price. There are plenty of others who re just as good and quite a bit cheaper. I'd recommend Arc.

I feel like Arc does 97% as good as Caustic at half the price.
