Yeah, I have been playing with dye jobs lately a lot too. That's my rotor that you all mentioned, and I really couldn't be much happier with it. I actually have a write up as well on my site for how to do this since I get asked a lot. I've done a couple R2s, two CTRL loaders, an Emek body, a F8 Mask, and may be doing a full flex (all white base) soon.

    My little write up: https://www.hp-wt.com/how-to-dye-your-anything.html

OG VL Clear Revvy to Purple clear. A bit darker then the factory purple shells but it will look nice with my buddy’s purple CCM T2, and these shells are way more durable.

Harder plastic so it sat in the solution just below boiling for about 6-8min.

Boiled the water shut off the heat added the dye / small amount of dawn soap and dropped the hopper in.

Yeah it took color well. I think it came out nice. Hopper shell wasn’t super clear to begin with it was a bit yellowed to. Looks a lot better then it did. Still smells like buttholes like all clear revvys lol

This is great stuff man. I once bought a wasabi green grill for peanuts and hit it with dark brown rit. Turned forest green in the end. Interested in your future projects
