If you'd like simple print guide, I'd recommend the Engineers Black Book (https://www.engineersblackbook.com/). It can be had for $30.

It is a great pocket reference with all the information you could need for home projects. Its a smaller version of the machinist handbook. I was given one by a vendor at work which I use daily and liked it so much, I bought a second one for home shop use.

If we're talking paid materials, we have to mention the Machinery's Handbook. Don't think I've done any design work more than 5ft from one of those since high school. An indexable PDF copy is a necessity in my opinion. The hardcopy is unwieldy.

And here I was going to say it's too big to use the PDF, so I keep a hard copy around. Mostly to throw at new guys who screw up.

I'm a heavy user of Matweb.com (material properties) and Engineer's Toolbox (trust, but verify).

I've been a member of MatWeb for over a decade. It's hit or miss, but really fast and easy to use. The only better database I've used for material selection by property search is the 'GRANTA mi' package - and that's ~2000% more expensive...
