This looks pretty incredible! SLS printing? I recognize most of those names in Paintball Printing, even had conversations with several. Interested to see more details!

I wonder if they will have some kind of unified storefront too.

This just feels like a bunch of dudes teaming up against me for what I already do and have been offering for 3years.

That's pretty much why I stopped printing for profit pretty early on. What I made over time eventually paid for the printer, but my time was always a loss. If anyone wants my stuff now, I either let Shapeways handle all the legwork, or else I just let people use the files for free. Besides, I never really felt like FDM prints were up to my standards when it came to finished products.

PBDNA has an SLS printer coming too.

At least one part of the industry has some grassroots stuff going on haha.

It's closer to $30k with supporting hardware. The Fuse 1 is best if you use the sift parts cleaner alongside it to reclaim unused powder safely and effectively.

                  It's "cheap"..... for SLS

I have friends working for Formlabs that I hope can run me a couple prints though

My take (opinion) : Group of mod makers teaming up with some SLS company from China to batch print for larger kits or quantities. They will be remote printing with a company. I assume the company will be setting up a storefront HUB similar to how Makerbot has Thingiverse but instead of download, you just buy and ship an SLS print (or I assume they'd do this to have some unified storefront). OR. Just one of them is getting a machine, and it's a smaller gig than I think.

                      Ooof.

From experience, the Chinese SLS and MJF prints aren't up to snuff with who I use (shapeways). I had a bunch of tolerance issues very early on with them and I say them because it's multiple places.
