My son has been using his high school's printer over the past couple of years. This year guess what showed up on his Christmas list? You got it a 3D printer! I've been looking at printers off and on over the past year or so thinking weather to buy one or not. Well, the Xmas wish list made it easy...we bought him an Ender 3 Max off Amazon. It comes with the Meanwell power supply, metal extruder and glass bed. It's not a gift for me, so why am I so excited about it?

You can't go wrong with the ender 3, it is a fantastic printer. Make sure you buy plenty of filament to go with it! -
My son bought a printer in college. He picked it, built it, used it, and eventually left it here when he was done with it. I built a Prusa to see how a printer was supposed to work, then I went back through his to sort out a variety of problems. Now I use it for experiments and upgrades while I leave the Prusa alone.

Congrats, I got a Prusa earlier this year and it has saved hundreds of $. Just today I am printing out stakes for the Christmas Candy Cane lights that broke last year. $0.31 in filament per, vs. buying new stuff to replace the 10 or so stakes that broke over the years. You'll have a blast! And your kid of course.Comment
