Just one of like 100 project I'm working on... Going to try and make a side-feeding STENgun style Trracer... and Tippman A5 (since my stupid cyclone crapped out). Hope this prints nicely. After confirming this part, will figure out how to attach it to feed into a marker.
I would be interested in a TiPX magwell for the Empire traccer, if that is what you are making. I just bought one for the TM7 off eBay and the mag release makes it rather unusable, and it won't do FSR on a traccer like I would like.
Hey Xemon it was done in Fusion 360 maybe I'll release the cads eventually.
Jerry, yep I've got an Emp Trracer just now, will throw it on there in a minute. Also have a FS mag to test with but not sure if those will fit down the feedneck anyway.
Got sidetracked today trying to double stack paintballs... dumb idea.
Quick test vid. Print came out functional and fine, just tolerances are a bit tight. Mag release latch seems comfortable and snappy.
That looks good.
Even just that and make the top as you need and fit/glue this in ... it would probably work fine and allow for easy print.
Let me know if you release teh files, i would play with this a bit.
Love my brass ... Love my SSR ... Hard choices ...
Ah crap I just realized I designed the mag-release to latch on to the wrong part of the mag.. it works but only for this type of mag, not the FS, not zeta. Darn. Have to redesign it to latch to the intended area on the mag.
Anyways here's some other cadding I've been doing on the empire trracer.. Just the stock parts as a starting point. I think I should integrate the rail that comes with it so I drew that up too but if it gets in the way maybe scrap it. We'll see.
I figured the rail would be the mounting method like the stock feedneck. I do believe Simon had a mag-feed design for this when he was at KEE for this product development. Frustration with his restricted creative freedoms was one of the reasons he left.
