    Shapr3D does anyone use it

I have Zero Cad skills, but I saw this and watched a few videos with it and I think it fills in the gaps I'm missing that would allow me to make my own 3d files to print and create.

Do any of you use this? Is it worth the $239 dollar annual price ?

I checked it out just now, it's pretty nifty! It definitely looks like it's very intuitive, and designed to be used easily with a tablet or other touch screen, so it's got that going for it. It reminds me a little of OnShape, but with a little better functionality. You can get OnShape for free though.

The style of CAD that Shapr3D uses is very Solidworks-ish (parametric, sketch and extrude/revolve/etc...), which, as far as I know, Solidworks kinda pioneered this type of 3d CAD.

If you like the way modeling in Shapr3D works, I'd suggest trying out Fusion360 or OnShape before you drop the money on Shapr3D.

OnShape is completely on your web browser, so yeah, you can use it on a tablet. I think they even have an app. Fusion, i'm not sure.

Same here, seem nice and like a lightened tablet friendly version of SW (which is what i personally use).
There is a free educational license so i might give it a go...

Haven't had much time to dive into it, but a few things to note:
          - the system is designed to be controlled with finger and pen; for finger only, drawing tablet or keyboard/mouse it is all beta.
          - the interface is clean and streamlined.
          - they claim full compatibility of file type, it's not quite true ... Doesn't open a lot of cad files.

It is powerful and intuitive, design to work on higher end tablet. I see the place for it but I I'm not the target audience as I only work on computer. I'll work with it a bit more and maybe write something more substantial.
      Working...
