Update:
Attached are the new photos of my springpheed extension.
It works and runs as a proto type, after some adjustments. The key is it works.
I have the second version finalized and ready to send out to 3d print, yay. With all the adjustments I made to version 1 in place.
The only thing that I'm still working on is the 6/32 by 3/8 round head hex screws, that are used to attach the springpheed to the back of my phantom. I sanded down the head of the screws and all my paint flows through the new attachment with a slight bump on the way. And getting the screws into the holes is a fun game of Tetris. But it works and adds 12 extra rounds to the rear of the spring feed. And making it so much easier to load/reload.
Still working on a screw point to lock the feed in place, will probably use the preexisting spring feed holes and tap them for two more screws.
let me know your thoughts, I'm just happy it works and works well as a proto type.
In my head it is a one piece addition to the new phantom spring feed that allows you to remove the back delrin feed. And in it's place is a hinged feed ramp like springpheed v4 with a back standard 10rd feed extended to hold 10 rounds.
This would slide onto the spring feed dovetailing and lock in via a couple lock screws from the top.
This would effectively make the new spring feed hold 27 - 30 rounds.
The feed ramp would be very similar to the springpheed v4 if not exactly the same. As that is what worked for my improvised design via a hing.
If anyone has worked on something like this, wants the challenge or is interested in this I would like to pay for your time and expertise for my benefit and the community of pump players as a whole.
