HOUSE BILL 2321

This section does not apply to three-dimensional printers manufactured for, and exclusively sold to, buyers with a valid federal firearms manufacturing license issued under U.S.C. Sec. 923

"Three-dimensional printer" means (a) any machine capable of rendering a three-dimensional object from a digital design file using additive manufacturing or (b) any machine capable of making three dimensional modifications to an object from a digital design file using subtractive manufacturing.

Looks looks like we will need to give feds access and approval to all printer and CNC machines if we want to stay compliant ...

yes, but the sole fact it might be illegal to have an unlocked printer opens you to federal mail fraud for ordering parts online ...
burying you under BS charges are a thing, this would be more of them ...

Rarely. Usually on a new purchase where there is a known issue thats already been corrected. Not as common now as 7 or 8 years ago. Cutting the cord from big brother would definitely be a reason to do so.

That's a bill written by fools that don't understand how a 3d printer works. It's just gcode. Go to x axis and y axis and then to x and y. The printer has no idea what it's doing or making.

it's like the lady in Colorado that co-signed on a bill to ban 30 round magazines from guns. She legitimately had no idea you could just simply reload them.
