    Micromag detents

Does anyone have an .stl for a Micromag detent floating around? Having been able to find many models for Micromags/Automags online outside of rails, grips, and foregrips. May have to resort to designing my own.

I know they were made. I have a couple I have been meaning to put on some MM bodies. I can't for the life of me remember who gave them to me though... No idea of they released the .stl, but it should be a pretty straight forward design.

Ya, I have one that I took some photos of to hopefully redesign in CAD but was wondering if I could avoid reinventing the wheel of one was available here

is it this PTP style detente you are looking for? I know I printed a bunch a few years ago, so I should have the stl on my computer at home.

Yes, that looks like the shape of it. Mine is the gen 4 Micromag which is secured by a pin and not that plate that is screwed in.

Gotta get some test prints in later today to check fitment, but I believe the rough shape is in. Could probably remove some more material behind where the detent contacts the ball.

Initial print fits well. I purposefully sized it wider than it needs to be (4mm instead of 3.8mm) so I can run it on some 240 grit sandpaper to smooth off both flat faces. I was planning on using a pen spring and measured that at 4.3mm in diameter, but the slot on the Micromag body where the spring goes is only 4mm wide so I'll likely have to look into 3mm diameter springs. Overall, good first draft.

                    Nice, looks good man!
sorry I dropped the ball, I know I had the file somewhere, just haven’t had the chance to look. I like what you came up with though!

All good. I needed to take some time and learn CAD anyways since it's been a roadblock I've encountered in a lot of projects up to this point.
