We Have Kingman Hammer 7 at Home

    The Hammer 7 at home:
using a Tiger Shark as a base.
    TiPX magazine design.
straight through breech hole was to confirm bolt positioning and won’t be there in the final design, obviously. You can see I made the breech opening too far forward and I’m currently printing out a new body.

trigger and frame will be interesting, the magwell does push the original trigger placement and subsequently grip position back. Planning on a sliding trigger design over a pivot since that’ll be easier to model.

Dude this is so damn cool, any chance you'd share or sell the files once they're complete?

100% will share the files when done, as a step format as well.
My Tiger Shark has a broken power tube tab so the bottom tab may not line up to an intact power tube but I'm sure the people are smart enough to figure it out.
Something I'm concerned about is the barrel - I want to make it cocker threaded for more barrel choice but then I'd need to get an insert made.

@hunter, I hear you. have you given consideration to a slip fit barrel such as SL style or even a twistlock

If you need a replacement power tube one from a JT er2 will fit perfectly unfortunately they're made of plastic but at least it's a suitable replacement.

    This is neat!

What about designing the body to accept one of Doc's Automag adapters? That would get you solid cocker threads.

oh! That's really neat. I was actually going to ask Doc for a custom adapter design but looks like that's already covered. I wanted this to be FSR compatible, though, and the automag adapter looks like roundball only.

          Thanks!
I originally discounted the CF20 because I thought it fed from the front of the mag, which would really make my trigger/grip problem more apparent. Looking closer now I see that it feeds from the back of the mag.
From an aesthetics standpoint I still want to use the TiPX mags, it's more proportional to the design. They're also printable and there are models that hold 15 rounds continuous, or I can use a zeta mag.

I'll definitely think about it for a rev2, though, especially because Dye just lets you buy the mag well I don't even need to do that much more work.

Everyone will have great ideas for various parts and accessories. My suggestion is to finish your original plan. Check that it works, functions consistently and is usable. Since it is 3D printed, you can add all the other bells and whistles in V2, 3 ect. If you try to accommodate all the suggestions at this phase, the process begins to creep and it never gets completed. Good luck with this build.

Yeah, I'm well aware of scope creep
I already have a vision of what I want this to look like and I'll execute it until it's complete and in my hands.

I did this within pmi traccer internals a few months ago! Love it!
Cocker threads print just fine, it’s just a process and learning curve to get them right. Also, to feed fsr reliably I had to use phantom springs and adjust my bolt all the way in, and extend the body a bit so it pumps back further allowing more breach clearance. Good luck!

i designed a new trigger group, and a magnetic return!
Similar to the trigger design I made for this double barrel traccer

Little bit of an update. Using an AR15 grip.
Straight pull trigger due to how the bolt/hammer/sear are placed in the tiger shark, the pull is a little heavy so might have to do something else.

It took me a while to remember what I did to my old hammer 7. The best thing that worked out was I cut the breech off, bored it a bit and used a cocker barrel tap to thread it. Like a doc's adapter for first strikes.

I originally placed the breech too far backwards which required me to use a straight pull trigger. After modifying the breech to properly feed, turns out the original hinge style trigger would've worked really well, so I punched out the trigger from the Tiger Shark to start copying into CAD.
I also updated the body design to be easier to print. I originally had backstrap to relieve pressure from the mounting tabs during pump stroke, but it make it really difficult to print.

What's below the barrel? Is it going to have an undercocking style pump?

Either way im amazed how quick you've put this all together, it looks great!

I also plan on making a second body with a central feedneck for open class play, and then I can use the magwell as a 10 round tube holster, or a snickers holder.
