The heck my mini lathe doing?

Mini lathe just started doing this pulse deal, like only half the motor is running but I don't know much about electric motors.

Pulled them and they appear to be in good shape, will probably order some spares to try out just in case.

Side note. Dont run it without the jaws clamping something. They can unscroll and eject.

Fun. This can happen when phases short together - which shouldn't be a problem unless the electronics are exposed or subject to mechanical loading. Open her up and put a multimeter across the phases to ensure they're not shorted or broken.
