    My sleeper Tigershark Build

Brass Eagle's Tigershark was my first pump gun as a young man. Naturally I threw a scope on it, used about a roll of painters tape to attach a camera tripod to it and tried to 'snipe' people at Boston Paintballs airball field. It's a miracle I ever tried pump paintball again.

A decade and a half later I figured it was time for a second attempt. So I decided I'd build a 'sleeper', from the outside it looks (mostly) stock, but it's got some fun features inside.

The trigger pull was the first thing I approached, the stock pull is stiff and long (wink wink), so I chopped up a credit card, stacked it 3 pieces high and glued it under the trigger sear to take out some of the length.

Next was the barrel, which is massively overbored. markdem hooked me up with one bored out for freak inserts (Thanks again Mark!) Given that it's got no porting to it I went ahead and made myself a nice big raincover with some PVC. Using size #80 o rings around the 3 groves at the end makes a 1" PVC fit snugly.

I then went an polished the living hell out of the internals, which made a surprising difference in the pump stroke, even when using the blue spring from the phantom kit.

Today the final piece arrived. The stock valve's design leaves the velocity somewhat low. netsurferdude2 (thanks as well!) turned it down and removed some excess threads/materials to allow for better airflow. I've yet to test it over a chrono, but it certainly seems to be shooting better now.

I'm also scheming up a way to use some aluminum tubing that fits over the dropout changer know to make a stock/dropout changer combo, just trying to figure the best way the make it's rotation adjustable for different 12 gram lengths so it always sits well in my shoulder.

After that all that's left to do for now is test it over a chrono. Worst case I'm going to throw a reg on the back bottle and covert it to be either VSC or bottom line asa, but that's just if it has reg issues. Of course if I see any other cool mods I'll get into those as well.

Forget what was written before if you saw it, I think I could pull of September 2nd or 3rd and not be worried about bruises by the 23rd. I'll try and figure out if my wedding organizing next weekend is both weekend days or if I have Sunday (8/27) free in case. Otherwise anytime past on or past 9/30 works for me.

September 23 for a wedding? Don’t do it…it will interfere with Slim’s Fall game…every year. I know from first hand experience - the 23rd is my anniversary.

      😂🤣 congrats, bud.

Can’t wait to see that tigershark on the field!

That's too funny man. And trust me as soon as we set the date I realized what a mistake it was. I'll just have to get my girl to put down the emek and pick up a pump.

A tigershark day would be fun!

I had a theory that the tigershark needed a little more volume in its valve area. Ill tool up for valve mods once again. Thanks for trying it out! And thanks for giving me inspiration to try my own mods!

Also, i have a suggestion about the 12g changer: spacers. You can use very thin spacers to fine tune when the 12g changer "bottoms out", therefore also adjusting what angle the 12g changer is "clocked" at

No, i dont think an expansion chamber would work. I think the immediate valve area needs to be larger. This is of course just a theory.

That's good to know, depending how hot mines shooting now I may need some kind of reg, shits gonna get a bit ghetto.

I've thought about expanding the passageway from the back bottle threads into the valve chamber. Got any thoughts/experience with that?

Opening up the passageway from the air supply is a good idea. Ive never done it but im sure its fairly straight forward
