Old tank reg to 12g reg...again

I think it's a tragedy that paintball jumped from pumps to regulated semi-autos without the general attempt to use regs on 12g markers. If I'm using so few shots that I can use 12gs, I want those shots as consistent as possible. Playing between 50F (primo) and 100F makes using regulators really worthwhile.

I have three reg'ed 12g markers that I can think of (built at least four), and they shoot very nice. Faced with some old scrappy bottles, I converted my first HP ninja reg this time. I pulled all of the shims out, which seems to have left it in the 450 psi range for now. I have a couple of pumps I might use it on, but nothing definite so far. It seems to work fine, even though it has four plugs in it atm.

The booger marks on the adapter are from tapping the hole for the reg. I'll have to work on that process. Just kind of fiddling right now... thinking about a Doc-style adapter to the ICD changer, but that would still leave me at this intermediate length (long, but not stock length).

    Very cool. Do want.
I was hoping to revive some KC no hot shot regs, this looks simple though.

Honestly, I used a mini lathe. The hole is over 1/2"; I might actually have the bit for it, but I bored the last little bit.

What's really nice are the old 1/8" npt threaded vert connectors (to ASA). You can drill and tap through and be mostly done.

It should also function as a check valve, correct?

RedLeaderSB It does work as a check valve, limited in time by how well sealed the marker is, or if the marker cools off. Good for changing 12gs though. I usually put a restriction between the changer and reg to keep things smooth on the puncture.

Man I want that type of adapter to run old Air America and Max Flow regs as female regs. Well done, and awesome play using fix regs with 12g changers.

Took me a second to realize I'm pretty much already doing this just not with a tank regulator.

6 pak with a check valve into a empire sniper through the forgrip regulator

If you're talking about oldschool manifold Maxflos, you can run the reg off a regular duckbill using a 1/8"-npt nipple to join the two.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Nope the dedicated tank ones. Would be nice to have a use for them.
