Hello Poo Build Contest Officials
I have two questions...
1) Can this be a tinker project of poo that we have been tinking with prior to the contest, or does it have to be a fresh build within the contest timeline?
2) Who are the people that you consider "pro" or "amateur". Or what are your definitions for "Professional" or "Amateur". Where do I fall in those categories? I'd like to go for that ever elusive lifetime membership.
Thank you in advance
Respectfully,
Smiley

1. I prefer it be a fresh build but officially allowed builds that had already started. The budget rules apply back to the start of the project. If it was laying in a parts bin, it doesn't count towards budget. If you buy a part/material specifically for the build, it counts against your $125
Some guys have kinda taken advantage of that and posted complete guns, which wasn't my intent, but I figure I'll let the voters decide.
2. I think I said if you've ever built more than 2 custom paintguns for the express purpose of selling them then you count as a pro. If you build one for yourself and sell it later, that doesn't count.
If you don't quite meet the definition of amateur, let me know your situation and maybe we just out it up for a vote or something. I intend to rule in favor of inclusion wherever possible

My shop is completely packed away but I plan to unpack it in the coming weeks. I'll toss my hat in the salad. I will dig through the brass pile and find something that needs a good poo-ing. I'll make a thread shortly and you can add my name to the list.
EDIT: too lazy to do this. No pooing for me this yearLast edited by netsurferdude2; 01-06-2021, 01:54 PM.

My entry
Lets try and turn a pile of beat rentals into my first double barreled marker. Here is our starting point a basket of beater rentals most of which were mostly good only for scrounging parts. IMG_1552.JPG After some effort I was able to tear down and recover the parts for 2 complete markers IMG_1559.JPG next was the first

Alright I'll play. Idk if it will be finished by the deadline but I'll see what I can do.

Here is my build thread, I didn't realize I had to post it here to officially enter.
Busted up 98 body. Pin for the feed neck latch has pushed through the aluminum of the body, breaking it. Also looks like someone started chopping it up before it made its way into my Tippmann parts bin. I have some miscellaneous parts laying around, but for the most part the gun needs...everything. I'll update this regularly.

I'm debating on entering, but I don't know if my project is "poo" enough. I bought a Smart Parts Vibe with a broken solenoid for $50. Everything looks fine except the solenoid is toast, and you can't get replacement parts. Ever. I tried and even look at hacking in a Dye Rize solenoid, but those things are literally glued together and glued to their hoses so they won't work. For all intents and purposes, the gun is totaled. It's not beat up, but it is dead. I plan on doing some soldering and hacks to try and mod in the solenoid from the Shocker RSX/XLS (the same one used in the Lucky Ion kits) and try and bring it back to life. I already bought 3x of these solenoids for other Ion projects, so technically they are already parts I had "laying around," but if I have to include it in the budget that's fine too since they were only $31 each. I should end up with a really nice electro that I'll call the Shocker SPV (Smart Parts Vibe), but I actually can't guarantee I'll get it to work until it works. I also wasn't planning on doing any crazy cosmetics or anything as I wanted a sleeper marker. The only thing that's kinda cool is the thing came with an Apex barrel (I know, right? That's why I bought it without even knowing if I can fix it).
