    Sheridan build

    Hi everyone,

    Fist of all, thanks Axel for putting this together and thanks to everyone participating for making it fun.

    Here is my entry:

    This is a PGP body I bought off 'bay for $20 shipped.
    It looks trashed enough, but here is some highlights:

    The "feedneck" is just put on there, no solder:
    Click image for larger version Name:	PXL_20201030_133236129.jpg Views:	39 Size:	65.0 KB ID:	49204

    The feed hole was hacked with ... ? ... Any ideas there?
    Click image for larger version Name:	PXL_20201030_133252091.jpg Views:	38 Size:	115.2 KB ID:	49205
    The threaded stud is totally shot:
    Click image for larger version Name:	PXL_20201030_133310979.jpg Views:	39 Size:	50.3 KB ID:	49206

    So here is where we start ... Let's see what we can do with it ...

    Edit: decided to go double barrel spring feed with stock Sheridan frame.

    Here is budget plan:
    - Base gun $20 (does not count)
    - CO2 lever $80
    - Tubing in my garage, left over bought bulk
    - Misc parts from my pile of spare parts
    - Consumable from the garage
    * spring (I had 1 lin the "bag'o'spring, so bought a second) $3.18
    * check valve: $11.21

    Total so far: $94.39 + base gun
    This should allows for a bit of wiggle room for a few parts/hardware.

    {"-" are parts I bought for this project prior the beginning of the POP Contest or parts from the pile'o'parts; "*" are parts bought after the beginning of the contest}

    Thanks for looking,

        That's a real nice chunk of poop you got there..not just a hard dried dookie that one could pick up but a soft wet puddle of poop that you might of stepped on barefooted and got it caught between your toes...

        I can't wait to see this one completed.... got a good feeling about this guy..

        Decided to go double barrel spring feed (~20rd per side) with a sheridan stock frame and a 3d printed handle ...

            Little update:
            Tubes are cut, and i got a new threaded insert machined and pressed in:

            Also got the check valve, so i can start cutting the lower tube and get ready for final layout and barrel drilling.

                This project is just side-benched ... But I'll get back to it in a bit.
                I'm changing a few things from this, but the base idea will remain the same

              I hope that's high temp masking tape or it won't hold anything when you start soldering.

              (I'm kidding, I'm kidding... looks great, I wish I had your machinery to use.)
              And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

              “But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

              And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

                😅
                i still need to prep the lower tube and drill the barrels and feed before I can start the hot work ...
                The tapes will get replaced with twisted steel wires for the actual soldering, I found it to be the best/most reliable.

                And thanks for the machine, this small little lathe is amazingly capable, the main limitation is it's size.
                This the the mk3 version with tapered threads and partial arcs and partial elliptical cut capability ...

                  Some soldering done, this is the first time im using 1/4" transfer tube ... hoping to optimiste the air flow to feed both barrels ...
                  I doubt ill have time to finish it within the set timeframe, but its moving forward ... slowly ...

                    It looks good but where are the paintballs supposed to drop into the barrels? I don't see cutouts between the barrels and the feed tubes. Sick build. I always wanted one of these from PPS back in the day.

                      It doesn't have it yet ...
                      I'm gonna drill from the top all the way through the feed tube to the barrel.
                      A spring loaded "gate/plug" is going to open and close the loading hole.

                      I decided to solder it first so everything ends up lines up by the end 😁
                  Working...
