It needs a crap ton of fine tuning still, but it is cycling and the selector switch works perfectly (although it is a little bulky) 😁

I don't know about that switch....its bulkier then I envisioned when I ordered it, but it also works perfectly and is quick and comfy to flip with one hand. The holes were an old mod off Model 98.org that is supposed to reduce blowback. No idea if it works or not, but I always liked the idea so every 98 I touch ends up getting the holes drilled. The particular feed neck I'm using had one of the pins (the front one) fall out forever ago and has been repaired with a standard tension pin that has been chopped to size with a dremal. A thin "o" ring was added at the base to eliminate the hopper wobble that is present in stock tippmanns.

Here is how the custom feedneck latch screw worked out. Super happy with this repair.

Here are some other random update pictures. I'm most likely going to repowdercoat the vertical ASA to a different color, do some other minor things as well. Repaired a stripped out grip frame screw by taping it up to 8-32. I also completely forgot to get any of the internal pins....so I chopped some spyder trigger pins I had laying around to size. Works fine but is a hair trickier to get everything to line up when reassembling the clam shells. Went with a random spring I found in a box and cut it to size for the sear spring. Weird quirk with the aluminium power tube, somewhere along kicking around in a parts box it got dented pretty significantly in the back where the hammer is supposed to make a seal....this obviously effected recock, but only for the initial couple of test cycles. After 15-20 shots the hammer actually beat the power tube round again. I pulled everything apart and you can't even tell it was bent now. Gotta love those heavy tippmann hammers! lol.

So here is where we are at.

As soon as nobbie333 can make it out to the field again I'll make get more videos...I need to wait for a bottom of the gear bag 98 barrel from him before I can properly shoot this pile of poo.

Small update, swapped out the grips, had the VASA repowder coated silver, changed the RT lines to black, played with the springs, and dug most of an old rear cocking kit out of the Tippmann parts bin. I honestly forgot I had this one, but it works. Obviously the barrel pictured is a place holder, but everthing else is pretty done minus chronoing and playing.

Just the right color combo and contrast combined with a steampunk garbage vibe. Nice!

Yah, changing the VASA to silver really tied this project together. I hated the way it looked till I changed that one part, now I love it.

That's one of the sickest Tippmanns I've ever seen in my life.

I haven't heard anything about a Bob White Game this year, but you do need to make it out again at some point. Just let me know when and I'll be sure to pack it!

And it's finished. Noobie333 gave me the barrel back and filmed the video (thank you again!).

One of my friends volunteered to test shoot it for its maiden games, and put about two hoppers away with it quickly and with zero chops or complaints. The refs did allow it on the mechanical field, so you could always tell when he was shooting!

          Final Build

I think I like this implementation of RT better than tippmann's drop in setup.
