    Anodizers Come and Go

Hey MCB, I'm looking for anodizer recommendations. I just got back into PB after a multiyear hiatus. A lot of the anodizers that I sent guns to around 2012 are long gone. What anodizers do you guys recommend? I'm not looking to do anything too elaborate at the moment. I'm just looking to do solid colors (at reasonable prices) for the projects that I have in mind.'

Er. I should learn how to anodize.

    Thanks for reading,

    TMG

Have done a ton of custom work so here's my experience:

    Caustic Customs

The king, he does the absolute best work in the business and his polish is insane. He commands the highest price though too.

    Arc Anodizing

Arc does the best dust finishes IMO and his sponge's look super cool too.

    F/X Anodizing

Mario can do really complicated stuff and make it come out amazing, his splash stuff is his highlight IMO.

    Aesthetic

Tyler does awesome work, like some of his stuff is leagues ahead of the other, but he's just a bit too hit or miss in reliability for mee.

    Arnold's

Not as popular anymore but they do some really solid work. They've done a lot of the Twister Heritage guns.

There's also Outlaw, Blizzard, and ATMF but I haven't used any of them before.

I wasn't aware that Mario was still around. I know him from the Matrix owners group from back around 2010. But I'm not a fan of splashes, TBH. He did the green EVO? It came out nice, looks almost factory original. As does the Angel. Was the Angel laser engraved too? I'm wondering about the white design w/ lettering. That's the kind of clean design I usually go for. I don't like the overly elaborate designs. And that sponge by Arc looks ******* amazing. I didn't know ATMF was still around either. I'll check out their rates. I think for solid colors, etc. they had some of the best rates, if i remember correctly.

Very nice work. Thanks for sharing.

I'm thinking about learning how to ano. I feel like I'd be really good at it.

Yea the Eclipse came out PERFECT. Nobody else would attempt that British Racing Green color I wanted and Mario nailed it in one try.
The Angel was anodized gold by Aesthetic and then lasered with the dots and ECA logo.
Arc's sponges look super cool, he's done a bunch of guns like that.
I haven't priced them out in forever, but ATMF was definitely good prices the one time I used them. I had a bad experience with them, but everyone else I know who's used them has loved them so I didn't want to comment on them.
If you feel confident in doing your own prep, Technical is also fantastic. They do Dye's stuff as well as WGP and I think Bob Long.

Was the EVO supposed to be matte? It came out really nice. The Angel, again, is really ******* nice man. Every time I go through your pics it catches my eye. I stare at it intensely. I really like the sponge, also. it's a case study on how to do a sponge, properly.

ATMF is my go to unless I need parts match ano'd. Then I go to Cau$tic$. ATMF has done a Viking, a Pro Stock pump, a Merlin, a Revenge V2 LE, and they will do my Evil Ehms. Unfortunately I haven't learned how to post pictures on this version of MCB. Message me if you want pictures, please.

THE_Incredible_Hulk For pictures, use Imgur, it's the easiest. Just upload them, click on the picture > then click on the "three dots" > then click on "Get share links" > then copy and paste the "BBCode (Forums)" link on here. It should look like this:

        [img]https://i.imgur.co/Gu5464564.jpg[/img

With the last "/img" bracket closed. had to leave it open to show you. It should look like this: [/img]

But post them, my good sir. We all wanna see.

        Kind regards,

        TMG

Blizzard dose great work. His prices are reasonable especially for the quality he produces. His turn around time was very reasonable for the amount of work required on my project. I’m really happy with how this came out. I told Blizzard what I wanted and they made it happen.

His price’s are cheap to only $300 for a marker. Anyone use him for ano before?

Another plus for Blizzard. He did my Sniper (simple, green on black matte acid wash). Great work for a great price.
