Custom Wall Mount for Paintball Markers

Hey so I've made an earnest attempt to make a quality marker wall mount out of some Live Edge wood and I could use a little help with the mounting hardware. As you can see in the pics I tried using these fancy clips but they really only work if they are placed at the balancing point which with a marker on it doesn't end up being in the middle. There's the piano wire and hooks or that sawtooth thing, if anyone has any experience in wall mounting something like this please let me know what hardware works best. Thank you. Adding pics from phone in a few minutes...

    Do a French cleat.

Rip a board at 45 degrees, put half on your mount, and half on the wall. Secure, simple, cheap. 1/2" - 3/4" thick is usually enough.

If you think someone will bump it off the wall, drive a trim screw from the top cleat down into the bottom cleat once it's hung.

Oh, and putting a second board the thickness of your cleat or a second cleat at the bottom keeps it from rocking.

Applies to more than just paintball guns. The french cleat is the best way to make a vertical surface versatile. I've hung everything from yard tools to full cabinets on them. Craziest one I have is part of a rolling NSF wire shelf - the long edge being utilized by modules built for french cleats. No flaws really... Favorite one was a control system utilizing an 80/20 frame with electronics mounted to DIN rails. Peak versatility haha
