Got this somewhat complete marker for 70 shipped. At some point someone tried to add internal eyes. Obviously, they didn't have the ability or tools to do so. Eye holes are not square and are drilled for massive 5mm eyes (not a great choice for angel bodies). On right side they have a second hole above eye hole. Either they were trying to add and eye cover screw, or a second detent. It's also not square with the factory detent on the left side. She's gonna take some work for sure!

I actually did some work on it today before going off to real work. I don't have a mill, but I've had decent success with a press, sharp endmills, and a slide vise. Cleaned up the underside about as far as I want to go. I could definitely go further and make the floor completely flat, but this thing isn't gonna win any beauty contests anyways.
Drilled for second detent using a jig threaded into primary detent hole, then a 2mm endmill through the center of the jig. This makes the new detent hole align perfectly with the factory one. As you can see, when someone drilled the body for massive 5mm eyes, he didn't have that straight either. This resulted in a a very thin wall between the eye hole and the second detent hole. There's still plenty of threads for the second detent so that can probably just get snapped off and the detent will still thread in just fine.
And yes, epoxy will be used to it's full potential on this one. Was actually thinking about breaking out an engraver and adding some of my own "body art" to the side. It really can't look any worse on the outside.Comment

I couldn't definitely do it. Could probably go kinda deep with it too instead of using engraver. Got some jb weld around front frame screw threads. Still plenty of threads down in body, but first 4-6 threads where blasted through. Would probably still hold just fine, but I wanna run it hard hahaComment

Maybe drill an even bigger hole and have to eyes in a reducer inside the bigger hole.... might make the breach not round anymore.....?Comment
