    ASA Dimension

    Hi

Trying to make an ASA on my lathe and im looking for the dimensions past the thread, I.E the surface which the oring on the air bottle seals against . I think its around 17.8mm? but the oring is 18mm so i dont want to make it too large

    Any help appreciated

    Many thanks

I was just going to ask the same thing last week. I found this page and maybe it can help you out if you have access to 3D cad:

Unfortunately, link is dead. I have one on my drive if anyone has questions about dimensions.

So I actually went through and measure every ASA I had on hand not too long ago and they ranged from .69-.705.. I had a couple outliers that were close to .72… but those were a mix of anodized multiple times and reeeeeeeeaaally old.. so I didn’t include them. In everything I’ve machined I aim for .695 and haven’t had a problem yet
