Ongoing experiment. Bored the barrel for nova inserts (little Teflon tape solved the bolt pulling the insert). Filed a phantom vasa to fit. Efficiency is pretty good around 35 shots at 270-280.

Next I’ll likely tackle the feed, considering welding a tube on . Not 100% sure just yet.

Note the insert is sitting back in the barrel a bit, there was a pretty hefty chamfer on it originally so I got it positioned as close to that profile as I could.

Factory and carter ones had a welded on feed tube.

I machined off the feed on mine and bolted on a phantom feed block. No photos though sold it off years ago

I love it! Running pocket hoppers is fun. But I get having a feed tube is more low profile. More stock class friendly too.
