    Splatmaster Rapide valve disassembly

I'm trying to take apart my Rapide's valve and I'm stuck.

I got the front part disassembled, but I can't figure out how to remove the plunger.

The front of the plunger has a seal and a sort of a brass shank, maybe 1/2 inch long. It looks like that should be removed to allow the plunger to pass through the back of the valve but I could be wrong and I can't figure out how to do it.

    I can include pics later.

I'll wait for the pictures then see. I've taken apart a gz200 before. I was able to replace all seals with orings.

First time uploading from mobile. This is the plunger I want to remove to fully disassemble the valve.

          Maybe COB can answer this?

I've been told that heat loosens the loctite. I have not had any success with hot water as the heat source. I am hesitant to use flame heat. I have idea how many other Orings or urethane seals are in the rest of the system that can melt or otherwise be compromised. I have tried vice grips on the shaft and poppet. It freed the poppet, but I slightly bent the shaft. Even the slightest bent screws up the valve function. So, at the moment, I have no good solution.

I've discovered there are only 2 seals. One there and the other under the brass guide on the back. I got one as a toss in so I just went at it not caring 🤣. Anyway, I assume there was loctite but hard to say as mine came apart without much effort. Vice grip on the brass part there and another on the back of the rod. If ya need heat, not much in terms of seals.
