What do yo do when you break the shell of your HDS68?

If you are a normal person, you try to get a replacement shell. Or you sell the broken gun for parts and buy another. If you are an addle minded geezer with no supervision, and too many spare parts, you go a different direction. Thus, another tale of the Crazy Old Bastard and the ridiculous thoughts that flitter through his simple mind.
Not only did I break the shell of my gun, but I was the recipient of G&H's new coach gun's accuracy. That was the inspiration for the next absurd COB creation. I give you the Clampet Special. This is not the finished product. This is the result of 3 or 4 hours of feverish Doctor Frankenstein work in my dungeon lab. It's Alive!
The stock was a modified Chech Mauser that I had laying around. The spare shotgun fore end came from another broken HDS68. I replaced the internal stock barrels with 2 carbon fiber 17mm tubes cut to length and shimmed to bind the 2 fore ends together.
What I need to finish. Connect the front to the stock. Create a cover for the main body. Do some pretty work on the wood stock. Possibly, adjust the valve block to a higher velocity due to the longer barrels. This will likely be round ball only. Mostly because the FSR are bigger diameter than most modern paint. So, I had to choose which to fit the barrels for. Field paint won the debate.

The gun malfunctioned and I hit the bottom too hard under the barrel release button. Strictly my fault and boy did I feel stupid.

The latest update. Yes, I'm still fixated on this Beverly Hillbilly special. So, first off, should you be so possessed to try this at home, Shame on you. Never follow crazy, it never ends well.
Now that the obligatory warning has been given, let's get to the details. If you try to put the internals into some other stock, you will need to maintain the exact spacing to seal the barrels to the air ports. I found that mounting the barrels to the stock separate from the internal gun body created air leaks at the barrel air port face. This decreased the fps drastically. I had to make a frame to extend from the front of the internal body to trap the pivot point on the barrel. I pinned the pivot points at the front of the stock and added another screw through the bottom of the stock to the frame extension. I also had to ream the internal diameter of the 2 carbon fiber barrels. 17 mm is too tight for modern paint and 18 mm is to way to big. I also removed the valve block completely to bring up the velocity to compensate for the longer barrels. At this moment it is working but it has barrel latch issues. More to follow.

The latest update for the Clampet Special. Pic 1 is the current appearance of the marker. I sanded and painted the barrel covers and the marker body. Sanded and stained the stock. Pic 2 shows the bottom plate to cover the underside of the marker. Pic 3 shows the painted marker inner body. I have not decided on a rear body cover. Pic 4 shows the inner extension of the frame to hold the barrels to the marker body. Pic 5 shows the added material to the air port face to seal the interface with the barrels. This became necessary to reduce the air leak at that interface.
