I remember back in 2001 or so playing outlaw ball on a construction site that had a bunch of concrete tubes we used as bunkers. I was near the edge when I saw a group come out of the tubes so I decided I would use some erosion control barriers as my bunker. You know the type with the black plastic similar to garbage bags? Well, turns out paintballs pass right through that stuff lol. It makes me kinda think this person has never played paintball with improvised bunkers lol

lol probably, I was a teenager, and the woods we played in backed up to the place. I don't think they replaced it though so I imagine whatever permits or whatever require it were already acquired. It is still one of the best fields I ever played on, a bunch of giant concrete pipes in random directions, with a bunch of mounds you could hide in between it and the woods. For whatever reason the project stalled for like a year and a half in that state too so we got in probably 50 games at that location. The sadly once it started back up they finished in a month or two and none of the other outlaw fields I have played on were even close to as good, it is what got me to start going to commercial fields even. That and we were the only outlaw field that brought a chrono it seemed.

Can confirm that an outlaw field with a chrono will always be a step above the backyarders

Years back I had an electro kid empty hopper after hopper on my bunker even when I was completely concealed. I waited for him to reload and managed to one ball him right inside the hopper (inside hopper wasn't the intended target but he was a schmuck so I didn't feel to bad). Anyway, after the game I gave him the piece of advice that I had never seen a bunker surrender and walk of the field. These, however, may just do exactly that.
"but we all have electros and you guys only have pumps, this wont be fair"

        (chuckling quietly) "we know"

Also it should be noted that it is nice to see someone competing with the "used artificial turf" guy for paintball field stuffs. Truly entrepreneurial.

Yeah that one has been on the New England area Craigslist for years at this point. I wonder if OP has actually had some sales or if he just doesn't bother to take it down. I can't see artificial turf being used at any of the fields in this area with any measure of success.

This is great! I have a buddy who ran games at his house and would have us tack up black landscape plastic to trees as bunkers. After years of use it became pretty brittle. Saw a guy’s feet under one and shot through the plastic to get him. He said “dude you’re a deadeye! Shot me through a paintball sized hole in the plastic” I just nodded and smiled.

This has the same energy as shooting through adolescent white pine to hit someone, but better somehow.

          - Too cheap to pay for a curbside pickup
          - Too lazy to go to the dump
          - Monetize everything

          Yeah, sounds like Dennis alright.
