      I used to see that a lot back in the day, people tapped the side of the valve for operating pressure instead of the reg. Seemed like a lot of work when most HPRs (at least back in the day) had gauge ports.

          My go-to cocker had the same thing....it was also cut down to a mini....AND the front grip screw....yup...goes straight to the valve from the bore out. 2 holes where they dont belong in that little guy!
