Yup, looks like an in nice shape 2K+ WGP Autococker, I do not remember a Black Magic that looked like a bog stock Autococker. Looks like it is in great shape though.

Looks like someone just put a black magic sticker on a 2k2.

But! But! Doesn't that make it a Black Magic?

I'm with superman. Even if it lacked the flame milling. You would think it would have the window cut between the tube.

            I agree, it's not as billed...just a very nice condition 2k2.

              Yeah... Not a black magic.

My very early black magic: https://www.mcarterbrown.com/filedata/fetch?id=412245

Basically sold to me as the second one on the east coast. Sub 100K serial number. The one on eBay doesn't even have the 30 degree asa on it. I could see maybe an unmilled body or something, but the bodies don't match.

I don't think it's intentional honestly. It looks like he got his hands on a warehouse load of old inventory and doesn't know what all of it is. So it's all going on eBay with basically rough descriptions. If you go through his listings there are many labeled correctly, some high prices, some decent. It's kind of all over the place

I know who it is... It's a flipper who got into stuff very late. He's been rude to me on several occasions about buying things I have up.

If this was really a case of him not knowing what things are, I would expect this to be listed as a Blackmagic cocker. Because that's what it says on the side, and why would he have reason to go beyond that?

But this guy is knowledgeable enough to know that it damn well doesn't look like a Blackmagic and has pulled out this "early edition" bs.

If it's an innocent case of him not having a clue what things are, then he also wouldn't have the expertise to differentiate between early and late editions.

I always thought the earliest black magic fully body cockers had the full top rail milling instead of a rail as well
This is the one I had years ago:
