That was literally on shopgoodwill last week. Sold for 200 which is arguably too high for an e bolt. The seller insta flipped it to Ebay it seems.

Rare only applies to meat or low manufacture/production numbers. This is unique, because it's one of a kind. But that doesn't make it rare. Buy the sellers' standard I'm rare.

What is going on these days? A "rare" 98? It's easily the highest produced marker in the history of the sport

I sometimes wonder if it's an advertising thing.

You list an item you don't actually want to sell, but interesting enough that people will search for it or click on an image, with a stupid "only an idiot would pay this, but i'd be an idiot if I refused the offer" price. If some rich collector with more money than sense buys it, fantastic. If not, it will draw people to your "further listings from seller" page where your more reasonable items are.

SOMETIMES people do that and it works. When I’m looking at old books or something, for example. In this case I’m unlikely to care at all about his other auctions because a four digit Tippman 98 is not a tantalizing tip of any sort of iceberg.

It’s like seeing a guy selling a Nissan Versa for a million dollars…you’re looking at his other auctions for…what exactly? Other examples of the Nissan Versa, the cheapest car sold, or are you hoping for a GT-R in there for a grand for some reason? If his halo is that tarnished there won’t be much under it.

This gun is very red. I like that but…this is brand new hand build Freeflow cocker money for a Walmart gun.

Perhaps it will delivered by a $1000 hooker with $300 worth of " party favors".

In the weird way that Facebook knows, I saw this after viewing the listing. Seems the owner was interested in defending his price.

                        I don't get it.

If you don't want to sell it, why go to the bother of listing it?

Also, retail pricing as a defense for excessive cost of a used item is weak sauce. That's got real Craigslist vibes.

                        Here's the thing...

When you post something up for sale, like it or no, you are also open to commentary.

Now, one might soften the incoming ridicule by including ones lack of seller's motivation in the description.

I have a few markers I'm not actively looking to sell. Offer me substantial value over marketplace value and you might become the new owner of a unicorn.
