8 Ions Walk Into a Bar....

...and get stuck together with some "professional wiring" and packing tape.

Do you want it? Of course you do! For the low low price of $5000!!!

You can actually see offer history on ebay.ca

It looks like the solenoids have been replaced with something more standard to allow common wiring and firing. Looks like maybe 4x 9v batteries paralleled up and transistors to pull down the multiple trigger signals?

It's horribly overpriced but some good level of work and thought went into it. If cleaned up a bit and better explained I think it would be pretty cool.

    ... That's "professional" wiring?

they were SOOO close. The "packaging" could have been done up really nice but it looks like they ran out of f*cks towards the end and got sloppy with the wiring.

For $5000 I think I’ll just pay the local kids to carry me around on a throne as I crank my BPS up to 20 on my luxe 🤣

        This would be brilliant!

I also just noticed this seems to have been listed for 3 years?! Not that I'm super surprised at that pricing.

Too bad the joysticks can't make them point different directions. Would be cool for a scenario tank.

Chances are only half of them work at any given time. 8 ions shouldn't cost any more than $500, add the custom setup I can see it going for maybe $800 if someone really wanted it that bad

Imagine breaking this down into 2 gauntlets. Like put 3 or 4 Ions per arm. You would need that backpack loader and a scuba tank to run it though.

This was originally mine. I had it built by Damon from Scenario Dreams many many years ago. It was built to be used on a motorized tank. The guns shot down the line like a sweeping motion. You could adjust the rof on the side of the control box with a dial and either shoot semi or full auto. 2 guns per asa so you needed 4 tanks or else major shoot down. I think I sold it for $1000 to $1200.

This is so much more information than is in the ebay auction. Very interesting. Also dang, this seller expects some serious extra cash if you let it go for 1k

if only we could post comments like this on ebay, the price would probably drop pretty quick LOL

Crank up the bps to 20, and with 8 Ions going flat out, you're up to 160 bps. Thats basically a rotor of paint per second, or about 5 cases of paint per minute. I love it.

🤯 That would make being on the other end of this rather.... unpleasant.

I wouldn’t want to be on either end of that... 160bps is about $4.50-$5.00 in paint per second — I’m always for frivolous spending in the name of fun, but my wallet wouldn’t be able to feed that thing.
