Ten bucks says he did it for "more airflow".

It's possible they did it as a legitimate mod, as a sort of bodged 'volumizer', but my money's on the airflow thing.

I can't even blame the tools so much as access to spare air fittings

Should have gone with a large coil of braided line like a mag. If you're going for it, go hard.

Agreed! Needed to at least wrap around the barrel once or twice.

WarMachine used to sell a regulator with a setup like that, the 'Supercharger'. It tied the front block to the regulator to mitigate pressure drop when firing.

I’ll give em the benefit of the doubt and figure they didn’t have 2 plugs but they had two fittings and a couple inches of macro.

Smart Parts ad hype: "This Patented MoarPressure Booster® recirculates unused compressed air back into the regulator for Moar Pressurization, providing more gas efficiency, more consistency, better accuracy, moar range, fewer barrel breaks, faster bolt motion, longer battery life, lower weight, smoother trigger feel and reduced ping times!"

You just have to know how to sell it right.

Good point. Might even be someone here bought it with that in mind.
