I still don't understand how G6Rs sell for so much these days. I remember 2k12s trading hands for $400. Especially compared to LV1s, which are objectively so much further advanced in tech, which sell for less than 2k11s (but that also may be related to the NLA limited lifespan of those solenoids)
I just bought a LV2 for less than they want for this now. I love G6R's but not at the insane rate they are going for right now. I'll stick with my LV2's.
They are going for insane amounts right now. I once bought a 2k12 for $275. Last 2k11 I bought I paid 375. I think Field One should just start making new G6R's without any updates or modifications to the original design and charge $2000. They could probably get it and everyone would be thrilled, well except the people that have recently paid stupid money for a 12+ year old version. It would be like printing money.
It's like I used to say about the LV's. Used models were going for good money and I thought PE should just find a new solenoid that works better and sell them just like the old models. They basically did that with the 1.6 and they sold well. Field One could do the same thing with the G6R and make a killing since there's $0 additional dollars for R&D.
That's a good idea. Heck, even a different person/business with some CNC machines could potentially buy the design and rights from Field One and produce these if Field One themselves don't want to.
