        I've never had one of these, someone who has: Can you please explain to me why every single one of them is missing the battery door? I'm all for getting old guns on the field but just slapping duct tape on the side seems a little too ghetto even for me.

          Cheap parts and easy to over tighten screws. Same deal as halo battery doors, eggys, etc.

        I've had a number of these over the years and still have a few. The original doors were of thin metal. Over time, and with use, they would become misshapen and unable to remain in the opening. They would fall out in storage, during play, and in transport. Eventually, the metal doors were replaced with plastic ones that worked a bit better. Perhaps a different design with screws akin to a Spyder detent cover would have been a better option.
