You can message sellers on eBay about an item, then make an offer once you have a convo going. I’ve done it before and even talked down some of the most infamous sellers a bit.

There's still the 15%+ that ebay charges, and their bot is really good at identifying attempts to deal off-platform

I always ask them if they are a pipe hitting member of the M Carter Browns team, it usually works, I’ve never been stopped by da bots. If you just ask in a really long drawn out description of what your really asking it slides right though like paint out of a barrel.
