Makes me nostalgic for my old A5. JCS was the best, I agree! Even when Tippmann changed the hammer design, they took old style RVAs back from customers and sent them out new ones! Remember the old days of customer service!

Are the old style hammers bad? What's the difference?

Tippmann changed the hammer design sometime around 2005 to 2007, I can't remember exactly when now. What it did when used with te JCS rva was cause the hammer to hit the rva body on blow back. It would then typically cause a pin to fail and the rva shoot out the back. JCS made their new ones to fit either hammer and took the old ones back from anyone who had a new style hammer. There was a good thread on this back then on A5og.net.
