Man I should have bought it but I didn't think I would be able to find any magazines for it. Then I found and got this yesterday.

Congratulations on a nice score. These are awesome markers, but totally useless for paintball. My stack of 85s, mags and shells are sitting in a display case waiting for that one reckless day I fire them.

Mags are hard to come by but it's the ammo that'll really elude you. I paid a serious premium for a 2-3 boxes a couple of years ago and still haven't shot them just because there's no way to source more. Considering the rate of fire it'll be $300 of fun in about 15 seconds when I finally break 'em out.

I love this description of the Mod 85

The gun was known to be incredibly loud (technically being a firearm), wildly inaccurate, and terrifying to be on the receiving end of (yet a true crowd pleaser at the chrono station due to the noise, smoke, sparks and incredible cyclic rate of approximately 1200rpm).

Thanks for info. I don't plan to shoot it. Cool museum piece. Here's description that came with it. 400 FPS. Ouch! LOL. I remember hearing they were banned for breaking goggles on the field.
