    VM 68 woth Brass Barrel

    $50 plus shipping.... But looks like it has a nice brass barrel on it that might be desirab for you VM folks

      Stock brass with some home-shop "muzzle brake" ports. Nothing special, though the overall price is fair.

          Were the stock barrels brass on these? It's been ages since I've had a VM in my hands.

            Yup. They didn't start having aluminum, stock, 'til the VM-Magnum came out.
            Factory was brass with a separate retaining collar.

                Stock brass came in different lengths. I have one around here somewhere that's 13"-14".

                That one could indeed easily be aftermarket, but really only J&J or BOA made brass for the VM- and both had one-piece (soldered on) threads, rather than using the factory collar.

                Either way, solid bet it's a .693"-ish bore.

                  I have several j&J's that use the stock collars... Both brass and stainless versions.

                  Yeah I think that’s longer than the Standard stock barrel.

                      That stock alone is worth that price. It's also got the old metal side plates which helps the value....if someone snags that for under $75 they would be able to make their money back and then some parting it out

                          If it were cleaned up it'd be worth that. Just a matter of finding aa buyer. I'm not looking for one, I'm totally done with any markers that take hoppers or tanks these days

                            Metal? The pics aren't that great, but those sure look like the normal plastic plates, to me. I was pretty sure only the original PMI-3, and even then only fairly early ones- had factory aluminum trigger plates.

                              Looks like the metal ones to me....It's an early style camo body. The early ones that had the camo body and dual cocking slots all had the metal plates from what I've seen. But I know some of the camo ones had plastic plates to...it's hard to tell from those pics, but even if they are plastic it doesn't look like they're cracked
