Anyone know what Law Enforcement set the FPS to on these , always been curious? Do they use a different FPS for the powdered rounds versus the solid rubber rounds?

280-350fps. You essentially want the same accuracy and impact of a standard paintball gun and don’t want the gun to beat itself to death or break balls. You’re getting compliance from pain of kinetic energy or the fill of the pepper ball. No sense in cranking the velocity

id be willing to wager that they just remove the velocity screw for unrestricted air flow across the bolt tube.

Yes, but with the price quadrupled because taxpayers usually foot the bill.

Pepperball and some of the other LE Less Lethal providers have or are using Paintball platforms with the velocity preset in the high 300. They are usually not user adjustable for velocity. Most likely for the liability issues. Much like regular ammunition has a preset amount of gun powder for a predictable performance. Pepperball has used the 68 Carbine and Pro Carbine, the 98, the A5, TPX, TiPX and the TMC as platforms. They also used the T4, 8, 8.1, 9, 9.1 and FSC as platforms. And like The Inflicted said, the cost is usually 3 to 5 times the paintball version. The TMC is $300. The TMC less lethal version sells for $900.00. It must be the cost of the orange dye they use on the fittings and accessories.
