    Ummm.

Now I realize I don’t know much about paintball pre-2000, or post 2004, for that matter. I quick google search brought up that the 60’s part is accurate, at least according to Fubarius in an old PBN thread.

I’m curious about the price point though. I assume $800 is insane. Right? If so, what’s the going rate?

    cool marker tho.

It's used for marking trees and cattle , I can only assume when 2 Yong farmers or foresters got ahold of these are sport was born

I never really understood the appeal to these. They were never used in the sport. Ever. Aside from being Nelson historical value, they really have nothing to do with our sport. The Nelspot was the first gun used in the sport, not these 707's. Hence why I can't ever justify the price, never mind owning them...

The fact that they predate the game makes them even more interesting to me.

That one is in quite clean condition, almost suspiciously so. May have been refurbished. My old one was less clean, but all the wear on it was from being used for it's intended purpose. It even had splatter from oil based paint on the barrel. Mine also included a holster. Managed to sell it for about $650 a few years back. I've seen a few sell for more, but the price one these really fluctuate.

Can they not be played with in a regular game for some reason? Like, velocity or something. I see El Gringo mentioned 1v1’s, but could they be reasonably used in a regular pump game?

I mean, I can't see why you can't use them... Just like you can still use a splatmaster if you wanted. I'm only saying there is no historical significance of this gun in the sport of paintball, which is why I have a hard time justifying its price tag. Same reason why I have never owned one... I guess I just don't get it. Maybe if I was a farmer or forester??

Just one persons opinion, nothing more. If it interests folks, have at it. This one is one of the best condition ones I have seen too.
