Wow, these are gaining value again? I gave one to a buddy about 10+ years ago because it was essentially worthless.

I wouldn't say they are gaining in value. I am just an enjoyer of STO's and this one happened to appear in nicer condition than the 99 I have, so I was willing to pay what they asked.
