A lot of Stingray barrels have the two big grooves near the breech for the big thick O-rings to allow the barrel to fit both a Stingray II and the original. I had a custom-made J&J barrel that was made like that and would fit either version of the gun.
This one lacks the O-ring grooves so I would think it's only meant to fit the Stingray II.
Also, J&J didn't start using that logo until well after the Stingray 1 was out of production and only the II was common.
I bet one could make it fit a Stingray 1 by wrapping a huge amount of electrical tape around the breech end.
This is from Doc's Machine Shop's Barrel Thread Guide (https://docsmachine.com/tech/barrelguide.html). The length seems to be off a little bit, but I'm not sure if the tolerances on a Stingray are that specific.
