    I would have to shoot it out of curiosity. It can't generate much pressure with that short barrel. My father in law had a 45-70 in a 14" Thompson contender. That was a ride. An interesting bit was that it would only dent 1/2" cold rolled steel. The 14" 17-Remington barrel on the contender would burn a little hole all the way through due to the high velocity.

        I’d try one out, but never own one. Same with the S&W 500 revolver. Looks cool and has an excellent quality feel, but impractical for what I enjoy in plinking.

          My old boss had a .500. I asked him if he liked it and he replied... "Well, it's fun to split rocks in half, I guess?" He also said that he's learned to load one round if he's handing the gun to someone else since no one wants to take a second shot. I think he ultimately traded it toward a Silver Pigeon II.
