    A Waze Question

For everyone who knows Waze. you know, the google mapping app that allows users to report traffic, police, road hazards and such.

When the alert comes up and says there is a cop ahead, then it allows you to either answer 'Not There' or 'There' to deny or confirm. if the cop is there, you hit 'There' and drive on your way. Same thing with Traffic or road hazards.

However, when the 'Road Hazard' is announced, and it is stating 'Sign Missing', what you do answer? 'Not There' or 'There'? Seriously, if you click 'There', does that mean the sign is not there or 'There'? I would believe that 'Not There' is more accurate because, well, the sign is 'Not There'.

All you're doing in either case is confirming whether the report is still accurate. There = yes, Not There = no. Best to not overthink it.

I really only respond to the 5 ohhh and pothole reports because that’s the main reason I use it. The pot hole saved my car several times. One could have been deadly. 7 cars including an SUV with D shaped wheels just south of Washington late at night. Waze gave me the heads up I was able to avoid it.

It's a GPS app that's community driven to report traffic situations, road hazards, speed traps, and so on.

a follow up question. If the sign is 'Not There', how do you know there is supposed to be a sign 'There'?
