Left NY in 1987 and have only returned to travel through or visit family. 90% of the state is beautiful and has great people then there is NY City and Albany ruining it. Every business that employed any significant amount of people where I grew up are either driven out of the state or out of business by tax burden.
In my family of the 8 siblings and 2 parents only one of my sisters still lives there everyone has moved away and she'd move in a minute if her husband could leave his extended family behind.

Meh wake me when the feds legalize it....
Big question is can employers still discriminate against users I bet they can. I know my employer can. I can’t partake regardless because it can cost me my federal firearms license. Without that it will cost me my job. However I can now grow a nice garden now. I think that was a mistake if the plan was to rase tax revenue. But I think that’s a huge win for individual rights. Get yah green thumb on. Hopefully it helps all these nut jobs chill the hell out.
Might be a good time to invest in the hydroponic industry.
Unfortunately I'm stuck in NY for the next 9 years. I don’t see small business coming back ever! Think about it after Covid lockdowns businesses watched entire life savings vaporize in 2020. With no end on site. The very worst business climate in the entire US before they were forced to close up. Crazy high cost of living and taxes. NY signed its small business death sentence. NY is bleeding taxpayers like crazy which will only exacerbate the tax and waste policy’s that are driving this state I call home into the ground. Feds bailed NY out of the hole it created recently but all they are doing is putting a bandage over the crack in the Dam. Going to need to sell a lot of weed to bail NY out of its crackhead like spending habits. ...9 more years.Comment

They have been doing that for years. They are letting out a lot of violent offenders as well. NY needs to drop prison population because it’s broke so it’s letting ton of sex offenders and violent criminals out. With the closure of the mental health facilities NY flushed them to the streets to reviolate. The two most important things controlling civilized society education, and law enforcement are being shut down and attacked. It will cost states like NY dearly. NYC police just lost there indemnification making them liable for any lawsuits one incurs. A LEO can not do his/her job without getting lawsuits filed against them. People make a living off it in NY. Things will continue to escalate in the populated areas like NYC and the only ones that win are the criminals. The Only good thing about what is going on is people will be forced to see the value in rule of law when it hits them in the face literally.
