That's fantastic. I love that there are people out there who remember that science is a method of discovery, not blind ideology. Looks like NDT just got sloppy with his 142 characters (I'm sure he knows better), but it's good that he's kept accountable.

Yep. Neil is a smart dude and I like a lot of things about him, but he can be an ass. I appreciate people speaking out against this kind of stuff, sometimes the cult of personality kool-aid we get fed can really jack up our objectivity and I'm glad to see that hero worship doesn't get in the way of smart thinking.

      Also beef vs. scientist, lol

I like how they intertwined a legitimate argument with meat puns.

Stuff like this is one of the few reasons I want to like Twitter. The other reason being Wendy's account roasting people.

Then I remember half of Twitter is people linking to other tweets, and appending the eloquent phrase, "This."

science itself isn't "true" it's a constantly refining process used to uncover truths based in material reality and that process is still full of misteaks.
I love this... They hit 'em with the hard truth and a pun at the same time. Quality content right here. Leave it to Steak-umms to know about refining processes.

I hesitated to add this, but I cannot think of any 'pop culture scientist' that I'd actually stand behind. I even have doubts about Bill Nye, and I grew up watching that dude's shows. In my experience (n=1, p=1), those with the tenacity to tackle major technical challenges with scientific rigor don't have the luxury of entertaining the limelight.
