Where are the old MCB members? (Drum, Incynr8)

I remember an old member named Schmitti. I think it was he and Drum who put me up to be a mod, honestly before the invention of the Iphone... I think the first thing I did in the mod section was find any post where Azzy had called me names and reply...lol.

Some of our mods knew how to handle people, and take a joke, and handle a problem. I miss a bunch of them. I don't think I have ever had as big an argument with anyone on line as I once had with Harb, which culminated in me deleting all the links to the cartoons I used to post; still we got along great after that.

I saw the return of a couple of members who had dropped off, here on the new server. That's cool. Would be glad to see more. Sometimes you see someone posting up about selling all their gear, and quitting, and you can see how the attrition rate has exceeded the new intake in a world with facebook, and a reddit paintball section. It's always hard to see the good ones retire. The single best way to get rid of a good member that I know of, is to make them a moderator... so many times we've crowned someone, just to have them completely disappear.

Hopefully they find their way back, at least to fields if not to the forum.

I don't know whatever happened or why what used to be like a bad crack habit practically living on the mcarterbrown forums to realizing that I and many others had not logged on in years. I hear more and more jokes about how the kids have left it to the boomers. Of course the kids are on to the latest app instead of back here. ("Kids" is relative)

One of the best parts of the forum structure is the ability to search and reference older material. When the hackers wipe that out, it's really discouraging.

Probably not that exact user name, but he had a flaming paintball with a face on it or something for his avatar. Anyway, I remember my very first post back in '06 or '07 when I joined. I posted a question about my BE Cobra... in two locations. He got on my case a little bit for it, lol.

Fell off around 2014, team kinda quieted down then, work picked up crazy, moved 4x, met a gal and have since married her, busy busy life.
