I liked enough of the posts that I gave out 5 of them. They are leftovers from the patch run I did for Harbs mom in his memory. There were unpurchased extras so... Harb would approve. I'll do this every year until people stop enjoying it or I run out of patches. I recommend the winners post pictures with/of their patches when they get them.Originally posted by MAr "... I really, really appreciate the gesture, but I would like to politely turn the offer down. On a general principle, I avoid to give any positive reinforcement to bad behavior - which I very much believe whining over not winning is - and I also try to live by my own standards. Also, I am of the belief that rewards from mere participating, devalues both the competition and the participants. As for the complaining that I didn't get a patch - well, even if I try to live by my own standards, that doesn't stop me from being an obnoxious bastard, which is totally within my standards.
Again - I really appreciate the gesture, but I'll simply have to do better next time.Comment
