    In Japan

Currently living in Japan, about a hour outside of Tokyo.

    Any fields in japan?
My Resurrection Cocker has seen better days, are their any shops in japan ya'll recommend for rebuild and tuning?

I'm pretty sure paintball is illegal in Japan so...

Airsoft is pretty popular in Japan, but it's all quite low power compared to the rest of the world.

It’s legal, but max FPS is about only about 180 FPS.

Do they also play in shorter fields?

One time I had switched markers after playing a few games, from electro to semi. It wasn't until maybe a few games, maybe more than half the day, that I went to the chrono and I was firing at 175. I was playing pretty damn good too for the low velocity.

Apparently some of the US military bases have fields, and aren't subject to the FPS restrictions. Worth looking into.

If I were in Japan I'd be getting into yukigassen. It's paintball... with snowballs.

If I remember correctly, anything over a certain number of joules is considered a firearm in Japan. Firearms are illegal in Japan unless you have the necessary permit(s), though I'm not 100% on the legalities of having a paintball marker. Paintball exists there, but it's gotta be well under 200 FPS. I myself am not sure of the exact number, but here's an old (2009) post on a Japanese forum that has a little info. Apparently the paintball FPS limit in Japan is 177 FPS, provided it hasn't changed since 2009. Which matches up with the 180 FPS figure I remember hearing some years ago.

                  Totally off topic....

I have been watching this YouTube series, IIRC it's called "A Westerner in Japan" and it's a bit of a guide about living there, do and don't type things. It's been quite cool. I never envision myself travelling there but living vicariously through his video series is pretty good.
