    Hurricane Henri

    Hope everyone is doing OK with the weather. Waiting for my third tornado warning since Thursday to expire right now. So far just heavy rain and some wind, some downed branches around here.

    We never get tornado warnings, so 3 in less than a week is just crazy.

    As soon as I got done typing this, the 4th tornado warning just pinged my phone. Nutty.

      My garden got pretty jacked up and we lost one of my favorite cherry trees. No damage to my house and I never lost electricity (which is weird because National Grid said my town was 100% without power...) so I'm thankful for that. See how they massacred my boy:

        Shame to lose such a beautiful tree. Lost a few big branches from my red mulberry tree, that thing is a monster so it will carry on just fine.

        Upside is you can sell cherry wood for quite a bit of money. Get the stump carved into something cool to memorialize it or something. A nice slab bench for the garden would be a great place to sit and relax.

        Looks like the tornado danger is clear for now. There was a funnel spotted in marlborough around noon time but it broke up pretty quick.

          I Just got heavy rain and wind the storm got pushed north of me. Just got some small dead branches in the lawn.

            We were expecting some pretty severe weather but the last min track change spared us (in Western CT). Mostly just a rain event with some wind gusts here and there.

            I was fully expecting to see pics like that looking out the window this morning the way it was originally supposed to be moving in.
